SEAPORT Enhanced
FUNCTIONAL AREA 3.12 INFORMATION SYSTEM (IS) DEVELOPMENT, INFORMATION ASSURANCE (IA), AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SUPPORT
Contract Number: N00024-01-D-7019,
N00024-01-D-7010
PSGS has supported over 15 years of IS, IA, and IT projects for the
Navy. In our history we have provided the full range of system life
cycle support including system software analysis, requirements
definition, systems design and development, and training and
documentation. Our tasks range in size from a $20K IS analysis to
upgrade a legacy database to a web based technology for the Naval Sea
Systems Command (PMS392) to a $27.5 million LAN/WAN administration and
support for the Department of Homeland Security.
Our support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division
(NSWCCD) during the systems analysis of existing IS databases and
development of a web-site structure for the Hazardous Materials Data
System (HMDS) web based information system that allows users to query
and analyze the results of the 12-year NAVSEA Shipboard Hazardous
Material Minimization (HAZMIN) research program. In addition, it
provides a mechanism for automatically and manually simulating the
HAZMIN evaluation process for over 250,000 shipboard products that were
not included in the original HAZMIN research.
All PSGS IS and IT projects follow a life cycle appropriate to the
project difficulty, scalability and maintainability levels. PSGS
maintains an information technology group that is Software Engineering
Institute (SEI) CMMI level 3 certified. This group has been instrumental
in developing applications that require strict adherence to policies and
procedures established within a System Development Life Cycle.
