FUNCTIONAL AREA 3.10 CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT (CM) SUPPORT

NDI provided logistics, technical and analysis support services to
NSWCCD-SSES Code 9341 to develop, track, and research data for Shipboard
Communication/Navigation Systems Equipment. Information and services
furnished to NSWCCD-SSES was used in planning, estimating, and tracking
progress of ILS documentation, and to produce dedicated logistic
support.

Developed and reviewed Logistic Technical Documentation affected by Engineering Change Proposals in accordance with military specifications and instructions. Documents included Technical Manuals; User Logistic Support Summary; Integrated Logistic Support Plans; Interim Logistic Support Packages; and Engineering Operating Start-up Sequences.

Developed and reviewed Supply Support documents as required for new equipment/components in conjunction with SHIPALT, and other Engineering Change Proposal-driven installation schedules. Documents included Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD); Master Allowance Parts List (MAPL) change pages; Configuration Change Form, OPNAV 4790/CK.

Developed and reviewed Maintenance Planning documents and requirements for new equipment/components in conjunction with SHIPALT, and other Engineering Change Proposal-driven installation schedules.

Conducted onboard logistic review of shipboard COSAL data, verified equipment nameplate data, maintenance documentation, and onboard allowance spares for power support equipment.

Provided Configuration Management in support of the acquisition logistic products developed in support of communication/navigation systems.
NDI provided logistics, technical and analysis
support services to NSWCCD-SSES to develop, track, and research data for
Surface Combatant Ships Systems equipment. Provided Configuration
Management and database services in support of HM&E equipment on surface
combatant ships from construction phase through life cycle phase.
Correlated data from reports submitted for analysis. Maintained
databases by incorporating new information received and revised the
structure of the databases to provide pertinent consolidated
information. Provided conclusions resulting from accumulated data
analysis. Prepared materials to visually depict the status for
presentation to ship's force, PEO-TSC, and NSWCCD-SSES organizations.
NDI provided support to NSWCCD-SSES to maintain submarine antenna,
periscope and buoy peripheral ADP systems to ensure tractability to
applicable MIL-Specifications, MIL-Standards, maintenance plans,
technical manuals, DoD publications, Technical Repair Standards (TRSs),
test and evaluation documentation, engineering reports, SHIPALT's, field
changes, configuration item baselines, configuration management
documentation, and integrated logistic support commodities.

PSGS support provided to PMS392 and SEA 07T:

Provide Engineering and Technical support services to PMS 392A4 for the oversight, analysis, evaluation, maintenance, and review of program management and planning documentation and systems in support of submarine modernization programs.

Assist with submarine alteration development and tracking. Assist with the maintenance and management of reference documentation and information systems.

Perform engineering and technical reviews of submarine alterations, A&Is, GFIs, LARs, JCFs, TEMPALTs, and associated drawings. Coordinate the review of Change Management documentation with SUBPAC and SUBLANT for PMS392A4.

Enter Change Proposals and JCFs into Team Submarine Change Development Tracking (CDT) database system.

Provide program management, engineering and technical support to NAVSEA, COMSUBLANT and COMSUBGRU 10 for the implementation of OHIO Class incremental overhaul and modernization availabilities.

Provide alteration program management support. Develop products for planned alterations to be accomplished during Refits (by Contractor Tiger Teams), ERPs, EMPs and ROHs.

Analyze stocking requirements for effects of obsolete/non-supported equipments. Research and develop item resolution for component stocking problems.
