September 2011

NDI has been awarded contract N65540-11-D-0021 by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division Philadelphia, PA for the provision of engineering and technical services to support Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Systems and Equipment on Navy vessels, other Federal Agency vessels, and select land based land based sites. The Statement of Work covers a full-spectrum of requirements including engineering services for in-service and prototype systems, test and evaluation, technology insertion using NDI/COTS applications, shipboard installation, integrated logistics support, material and staging support, general training support, surveys and assessments, sonar pressurization system and quality assurance. This IDIQ contract has a potential value of $85,134,802 over a potential term of 60 months if all options are exercised.

August 2011

NDI has been awarded Contract Number N00024-11-C-4178 from the Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C. for continuation of Research and Development efforts under Navy SBIR Topic N08-158, "Affordable, Lightweight, Linear Motion". This contract has a potential value of $990,562 if all options are exercised.

May 2011

NDI's Ms. Arlene M. Korn will be co-presenting a technical paper titled "Training - A Preventive Maintenance Tool to Control and Prevent Corrosion, Increase Material Readiness and Reduce Total Ownership Cost". The paper will be presented at the ASNE Mega Rust 2011: U.S. Navy Corrosion Conference, June 6-9, 2011, Ted Constant Convocation Center, Old Dominion University, Virginia Beach, VA. Ms. Korn’s co-author is Mr. Kevin Kennedy, Huntington Ingalls Industries, AMSEC LLC.

April 2011

NDI's Mr. Owen  R. Christianson, PhD. will be presenting a technical paper titled "Helium Gas Flow Induced Sub-Cooling of LN2 - Enhanced Heat Transfer for Cryogenic Application".  The paper will be presented at the ASNE Intelligent Ships Symposium IX, May 25-26th, 2011 Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. 

March 2011

NDI has been awarded contract N00014-11-M-0208 by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Arlington, VA, to conduct research and development effort under Navy SBIR Topic N111-074 "Flexible Cooled Power Conductors for Electromagnetic Railguns".  The contract has a potential value of $150,00 if the option is exercised.

NDI has been awarded contract N68335-11-C-0121 by the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ for the design, testing, and production  of the US Navy A/E32K-11 Munitions Lifting Assembly. The contract has a potential value of $13,194,976 if options for all twenty-six (26) units are exercised.

February 2011

NDI has been awarded Task Order EHQ1 under Seaport Enhanced contract N00178-04-D-4089. This contract provides for the provision of engineering and technical services to NSWCCD Philadelphia Code 911 in support of U.S. Navy  Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Systems Land Based Test Site Design. The contract has a potential value of $27,400,945 over a potential term of 60 months.

January 2011              

NDI has been awarded a contract by the Defense Logistics Agency, Richmond, Virginia to provide engineering and design services to upgrade the Aircraft Arresting Cable Manufacturing Line at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ.

December 2010

NDI personnel, under the coordination of Ms. Maureen Mailloux, contributed over $3,600 to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This is the 42nd consecutive year that NDI has held a Children's Hospital Donations Drive.

October 2010

NDI has been awarded a contract by the Military Sealift Command (MSC), Washington, DC to provide engineering analysis, ship checks, engineering system design and CAD Drafting in support of the MSC N7 Engineering Directorate. N7 is responsible for all aspects of ship maintenance, repair, alteration and material readiness for the MSC fleet of approximately 125 vessels. The contract has a potential value of $4,622,600.70 over a potential term of 60 months.

NDI has been awarded a Phase I SBIR Contract Modification for continuation of Research and Development efforts under Navy Topic N08-158, "Affordable, Lightweight, Universal, Linear Motion".

March 2010

NDI has been awarded a $245,300 contract by the U.S. Coast Guard to provide  Surface Forces Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD with engineering services in support of Engineering Changes (ECs) and promoting standardization of life cycle management of the 378’ WHEC Cutters.

NDI personnel, under the coordination of Ms. Debra Shultz, participated in the 5th Annual Gloucester County Cares About Hunger Food Drive by contributing to the over 12,000 Lbs. of  canned goods and pet food donated to the Food Bank of South Jersey which will stock the shelves of thirty-five food pantries and, eventually, help feed hundreds of families in need in Gloucester County.

December 2009

NDI has been awarded an additional $550,415 under an existing SBIR Phase II Contract for continuation of Research and Development efforts under Navy Topic N06-182, "Solid-State, High Frequency, Three Phase, Cycloconverter". This modification increases the total funded amount of this contract to $1,329,452.

November 2009

NDI has been awarded a Phase II SBIR Contract in the amount of $590,845 for continuation of Research and Development efforts under Navy Topic N08-015, "Jet Blast Deflector (JBD) Operator and Weight Board Operator Safety Improvements".

NDI has been awarded Task Order FD02 under Seaport Enhanced contract N00178-04-D-4089. This task, with a potential value of $1,843,145, provides for the provision of engineering and technical services to NSWCCD Philadelphia Code 63 in support of U.S. Navy Shipboard Pollution Abatement Systems (SPAS).

NDI has been awarded Task Order EHP7 under Seaport Enhanced contract N00178-04-D-4089. This task, with a potential value of $29,144,819, provides for the provision of engineering and technical services to NSWSCCD Philadelphia Code 961 and 963 in support of U.S. Navy Submarine Antenna Communications and Surveillance Systems; Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Systems; Communications and Control Systems; and the Submarine Sail.

NDI has been awarded Task Order EHP8 under Seaport Enhanced contract N00178-04-D-4089. This task, with a potential value of $17,515,193, provides for the provision of maintenance and logistics products to NSWCCCD Philadelphia Code 9103 in support of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) equipment installed on U.S. Navy surface ships and submarines and coordination of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) updates associated with shipboard HM&E system and equipment alterations.

NDI has been awarded Task Order EHP9 under Seaport Enhanced contract N00178-04-D-4089. This task, with a potential value of $3,180,286, provides for the provision of technical support to NSWCCD Philadelphia Code 933 in support of U.S. Navy propulsion and auxiliary gas turbine projects.

NDI has been awarded Task Order EHP6 under Seaport Enhanced contract N00178-04-D-4089. This task, with a potential value of $4,326,105, provides for the provision of technical support to NSWCCD Philadelphia Code 962, Quality Assurance, SUBSAFE and Sail Acquisition Planning Branch in support of Procurement Quality Assurance, SUBSAFE/LEVEL I Material Certifications, Submarine Quality Assured Material (SAQAM), SUBSAFE Supervising Authority of OII-MSD, Shipping & Receiving and Maintenance of the Division's Quality System.

On Wednesday, April 1st, 2009,  F. Clark "Sande" Walton, P.E., NDI's Chief Engineer, was honored by the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers in recognition of his 52 years of distinguished  professional service to the Delaware County community.

This task, with a potential value of $2,491,693, provides for the provision of administrative support services for the operation of the NSWCCD Philadelphia Code 96, Sail, Antenna, Networks and Navigation Division Technical Data Center/Repository.
